My Eyes Tell a Story
My eyes tell a story
That my lies can’t deny
If you want to know me
Look me in the eye
And you will see the truth
That I try so desperately to hide
But my eyes are the window to my soul
And all that I carry with me inside
On the surface I can put on a good show
I can manipulate and disguise
But underneath all that cool exterior
Is the harsh reality hidden behind my eyes
So if you want to know me
Look no further than my own eyes
They will lead you to the path
That will reveal all and make you realize
Who I really am, the person undercover
That is hidden from outside view
Unless you take it a step further and look closer
The real me will be forever hidden from you
