My Empty Home

My
home
empty
nest, no chirps
birds have gone away.
Sometimes friends show up to party
Only I know how happy I feel inside my heart.
When grandkids come, in long awaited dreams, their plays and laughter serenades my empty heart.

Jay your Fibonacci is perfect. We only see our grandkids once a year because they live on the other side of the world buy I sure could relate to your joy when your grandkids come. I loved your poem. Beautifully worded.
