My Dog Siboney ...Revised
Siboney, my inseparable companion,
He was the joy of my life,
I was a small child when I stumbled upon him,
He followed me wherever I went,
He was true company,
Running jumping over the fields,
It was great to have him in my life,
My friend and I shared special moments,
Secrets he kept to protect me, he was a loyal confidant,
We fished and pretended to go hunting,
He would always come over,
This time he did not show up,
A full day went by with no Siboney,
I set out to find him, in the usual favorite place,
It was by our favorite stream where we always went fishing,
I looked every where for my special companion,
My heart was heavy and my eyes were wet,
To my sad surprise,
I found my companion dead,
Devastation is all that I felt,
Immortalized in my heart,
I will carry the memories of my dog Siboney for life
These are true thoughts it happened to my father
Rene. My father wrote the original poem and I
added to it and revised it. It was Rene Torres
who wrote most of it and inspired me. Oct/5/2008.
