My Dog and My Cat
A strange thing I’ve recently found,
Is my dog and my cat are sneaking around,
They act like they really hate each other,
But I suspect they are secret lovers.
Every once in a while I think,
They give each other a little wink,
And signal with a purr and a bark,
To meet in secret after dark.
They think they are fooling me,
But I can plainly see,
There is more to their relationship than meets the eye,
And is growing stronger as time goes by.
It's O.K. for a dog loves a cat,
Because love is where it’s at,
Their love I can’t begrudge,
For who am I to judge?
