My Dog

how can you resist such a silly pet
sliding all around the tile floor
the cutest our family ever met
but god it whimpered till the front door

the dogs ears floppy and all adorable
she got into every mess
out of an oddball storybook fable
but those eyes say I'm sorry for the mess

we forgive and forget and spoil to death
that's our motto for our cute dog
so hyper she runs around till shes outta breath
then she'll plop down and fall like a log

i love how she does sleep by the bedside
ever so adorable and innocent
a great companion to be beside
