My Desire

Let me tell you my desire.
It's for you to keep alive that fire,
Your faith in Jehovah with burning fervor.
It's for you to conquer fear with love and compassion
While you allow conviction to motivate you to action.
That's my desire for you.

Why should I request
You change your hair, your nails,
Your physique or the rest,
These things that the passing of time expires?

To serve Jehovah with you forever,
Overcoming whatever trials could perspire,
Never allowing loyalty or devotion to tire—
This, my love, is my desire.
