My Death

The knife slides through my bare hand
Leaving its bloody trail in my palm
The pain in my grasp relieves my aching heart.
Red begins to run down my arm
As it mezmerizes my deeply troubled mind.
My troubles flash through my thoughts like a red screen
A tear rolls down my cheek seemingly unnoticed
The blood continues to flow out of my body.
Knowing I have found an end, I close my eyes.
Seconds turn into minutes as my life fades away.
