My Dearest Solitude

Alas we meet again,
I missed how we were back then,
Now we're both here,
Because loving always gives me a tear,

You're incapable of giving pain,
And you sound sweeter with rain,
To the friend that'll never leave me,
To the friend that makes me feel free,

With you I'm filled with bitter joy,
With you I feel like a little boy,
Back then you were my only friend,
A friend that can never wither nor end,

To my dearest,
You always draw my interests,
My friend Solitude,
Another one has tested my fortitude.
