My Dear Children

We still have lots of living to do.
In my heart, I wish to say thank you.
The joy of watching you grow everyday.
Memories of your laughter, as you use to play.

Those little feet running to our bed.
The blessings of cards you made, what they said.
I will never take for granted the words you use to say.
Sometimes I wish we could go back for just one day.

You both grew up way to fast.
There isn't one thing I would change of the past.
Your smart, your brave in what you do.
Most of all I love you.

Your equal in my heart.
I miss you while we are apart.
When I do get you see you.
Will walk on the path like we use to.
