My Daddy
Most adults don’t say daddy
Maybe they feel it’s for the young
Or that people will ridicule them
Or say it when family their among.
Everyone has a father
Someone had to plant that seed
But if you end up with a daddy
Someone special you have indeed.
A man that you respect
For the way he’s lived his life
How he raised his children
And for the love he’s shown his wife.
A daddy never falters
In his love for his child
Though sometimes he is tested
When they act a little wild.
I consider myself blessed
For the man who did impart
He’s my daddy now and always
I love him deep into my heart.
