My Dad

Dad raised me
The way he should
Protected me, too
Every time he could
Disciplined me
When needed be
Lord knows how many times
That happened to me
Learned early in life
I better obey
When I was hurt, he picked me up
Told me everything would be ok
Taught me valuable lessons
Along the way
Still to this day
He helps me in every way
Dad, I just want to say, thank you
For being the best dad still today

A great tribute to your Dad here Melanie, Its a jungle here for all people, children and parents alike, sometimes the right choices are made in our relationships, and that's great..' but what about the genuine mistakes? If we can love despite those then we're getting somewhere..'
