My Comfort Zone

I go to a place where I can be alone
a place that I call my comfort zone
peaceful, quiet serenity
the ultimate tranquility

I go to a place that I call my own
my heaven on earth, my comfort zone
Idyllic, stressless totally relaxed
my mind is at rest and not being taxed

I go to that place, my comfort zone
to confess my transgressions and atone
my heart to be cleansed, my mind to be cleared
a place of solitude to draw the Lord God near

to meditate, to contemplate
to ponder and deliberate
to remember and reflect
my soul searching project

I go to a place where I always pray
to thank God for showing me the right way
to exalt and edify the body of Christ
on the journey that is my life

I go to a place where I can be
free from life's adversities
to unburden, unload, relax and release
my comfort zone, my slice of peace

free from the world's preconceived ideals
a place where my heart, mind and spirit may heal
my comfort zone, my own personal space
my sanctuary, my saving grace
