In the night i cannot slumber
staring at the wall i ponder
what's it like to be together
after the distance dies away.

In the morning babe my heart aches
at the thought of you so far
i can't wait till the day break
and our souls merge as we meet
face to face.

And if you were lost in the darkness
I would shine a light for you
know that i would do it all
just to prove that i love you.

In the evening i am screaming
sick and tired of bad dreams
but your face is just so gleaming
chasing all my inner demons away.

As you stare into my eyes
you could always read my mind
know that i would never lie because
in my heart, my love you'll always
find.

And if you were lost in the darkness
I would shine a light for you
know that i would do it all
just to prove that i love you
