My Chocolate Knight

My Chocolate Knight on a black stallion…
Riding into my desolate
Darken heart
Decay

Galloping toward my disillusions, heartaches…
Radiating a hope of
Brighter
Days

~~

I wait
Breathlessly
Hearing the pounding of his presence...

Desiring
The reality of his nearness
Sensing the soothing comfort of his essence

~~

Is it
The sound of happiness...
Echoing in this powerful pulsating beat

Is it
The expectation of love...
Beaconing me as still I await in silent retreat

~~

My Chocolate Knight on a black stallion...
Dinged and dented armor
Shining through
The darkness
Of a heart's
Despair

Illuminating the throbbing emptiness
As impatiently I wait
Finally exhaling
The stench of
Love-depleted
Air

~~

Is it an
Earthshaking...Comic blast
Life reshaping...explosive spill

Or just
A summoning rhythmic repeating
A calmness getting closer and closer still

~~

My Chocolate Knight on a black stallion
My happiness, my prince
~~My chance

Rescuing my imprisoned heart
As I await no longer
For romance

~~~
Thundering through disappointments storms
Illuminated-lightening revealed flashes
Of a future
"US"
Torrential rains washing away the grime
Healing...Cleansing disillusions'
Embittering
Crust
~~~

"Mount up with me my princess
Let's ride into our forever-more
I shall be your heart's defender
For it is you my heart long for"

~~~
Falling...
Holding tenaciously
And securely being held
Totally, absolutely complete
Two
Gallantly armored
Galloping in contentment
By two hearts' combined beat
