My Children

Nestled safely in my arms
With a bedtime bottle of milk
I see eyes of pure innocence
And touch his hair like silk

My daughter’s sleeping in her bed
I checked on her just now
She can be naughty but has my heart
And really makes me proud

Our daughter showed me what love is
And how love knows no bounds
I didn’t think I could show more love
Through all life’s ups and downs

Then my wife blessed us with a son
And my love grew and grew again
Because now that I have three to love
A wife, daughter, son and then...

My wife and I will always be there
For the each time they fall or fly
For our children now, and those to come
Will know love in endless supply
