My Childhood Toy Memories

Betsy Wetsy a doll who could be fed water. A doll with diapers. A doll you could change. We all wanted one Many of us got her too. Little Remco Red Spinning Wheel. They had ads all over the TV. It was touted as the best toy in the world. I heard my mother ordering her for Christmas. I was thrilled. I did not get her. Too many girls wanted them, and they had not made enough. Bitter disappointment. Barbie dolls with cases. Barbie doll clothes. Then Ken, Midge and Skipper. Those were the toys that made Christmas worthwhile in the sixties.
