My Childhood Memories
Life was hard growing up as council kids,
Playing knights with the black bin lids,
Mom was great she gave us love and aways cared,
Dad was horrible always made us all scared,
Mom worked hard, had three jobs to pay bills,
Dad was always drunk in the pub trying to Rob the tills,
Life was great until he came drunk home,
Mom had so many beatings she was to scared to moan,
All mom's black eyes was because he ran out of money for beer,
Every night we lived in fear,
Every morning he'd say sorry it won't happen again,
Night after night he was always the same,
He don't deserve the title dad,
All he done was make our lives sad,
Mom left him and worked hard to make our lives great,
She was my mom and my dad and my best mate,
It made us all strong and I learnt what not to do,
I'll never put my kids through what we went through,
Always make sure you look after your Mrs,
And give your kids plenty love and kisses.
Your friend matty d :) xx
