My Childhood In Vain

My Childhood in vain? Being small is a boon or a bane I would say its all very insane The expectations that adults keep of you Is enough to scare your wits out too! Exam time is the least exciting of them all My Mom and Dad they don’t want me to take a fall So study I must to get good marks et al And yet I don’t get why their list just keeps getting tall? Other days my teachers give me lots of homework They say it will get me to practice what I was taught But with so much practice all time long, Am I really going to be that ASTRONAUT? Who will rack his brain to solve that important problem And always be in his superiors good books And be known amongst peers as a know- it- all Oh! I get goosebumps just thinking how I would look! Now my last semester is on And my marks will be counted on an average This world is driving me nutty, yet again And reading that text book like a book is my priority, DAMN!
