My Caffeine Is Full of Beans
I've much to be grateful for
mostly it would be the printing press
millions of books came from it
reading a book needs no change of dress
You just pick up one of your choice
sit down with a cup of coffee
this is bliss, reading and learning
many a word teaches so much philosophy
Subject matter changes over the years
always loved history, biography and sport
now a lover of poetry like no other
so fond of reading many a quote
Not a day passes by without reading
each word becomes a prisoner capture
everyone has a meaning to learn
potentially sending one into rapture
My caffeine is full of beans
which makes books my best theme
time is the precious commodity
so to find what might have been
(I have written this in considering what is my caffeine? in other words, what is it in the day I could not live without.)
