My Butterscotch Sundae

             My Butterscotch Sundae

Butterscotch sundae, with a long spoon, in a tall glass.
Sitting at the sparkling, clean fountain, a little pig-tailed
girl of eight in a white pinafore with class.

And though the dancing decades have passed me way
far too fast.
I still see myself at that beloved fountain, grateful
for another year at last.

Surely, I miss the safety, the innocence, the godliness of
decades past.
But for now? I will relish each cooling taste of my favorite
butterscotch sundae's most delicious repast!

I thought they stopped selling butterscotch decades ago? Lucky you can still find it! Aloha! Rico

Try living on the Mainland or do a yahoo search, perchance! Bet they have plenty of ganja there and roach clips...heh Heh..Butterscotch is not a drug. You made me laugh, though. Panagiota

Such sweet memories your sundae evokes, such joy and innocence it made me smile. With love and hugs Ann xx

Hi Ann, So glad you told me it made you smile! Oh, forgot to mention those were the days we actually wore shoes, which I love. Sad to see us turn into a running shoe nation. Mom bought me Mary Janes. One pair I adored were black velvet. Simply scrumptious....Panagiota and ^*^xxoo

My favorite sundae as well, Panagiota! Makes me want to run out and see if I can find such a decent sundae anymore. Bob

How bang on you are! Can close my eyes and see it....white chairs, lovely marble counter top and cold air rushing out of large containers. Aroma was heavenly. Thank you..Panagiota
