My Bundle of Joy Collaboration
When just born, your eyes shuttered, you were oh! so tender and small
I would place you in a soft pillow, you were half of that tall
With your tiny palm you would clasp my finger, oh! so tight
I wouldn't dare to take it off, you were so soft and light
When awake non stop you muttered, oh! so soft music to ears
I never understood what you uttered, but you were a joy to hear
I would hold your hands and teach you to walk, oh! how tenderly you walked
You would hold wall and furniture and come to me, how cutely you walked
Then you took your first faltering step, oh! That walk without holding, my love
That day I fluttered in joy just like a flying dove
You would say it in actions, you couldn't speak
Sometimes I wouldn't understand, oh how I wished you to speak
The first time you muttered amma(mother), I was besides myself with joy
You couldn't pronounce R, would call me lama, oh! you were a bundle of joy.
