My Broken Heart
I really struggled today,
Sleep just would not come.
I can almost count the hours,
Since you've been gone.
Today was your Birthday,
I've fought back the tears.
It"s really hard to beleive
It's been a long three years.
I wanted to buy you something,
Nothing seemed good enough.
Everyone says it get's easier,
Still special days are rough.
I can't say when I've been this sad,
I thought my heart was on the mend.
It broke the day left,
And it will never be the same again.
