My Blue Raincoat
this gentle soul survives
with an active imagination
on a lifeboat
i journey to revisit laughter
all the while wearing a blue
raincoat
i guess the apex of the totality
of regrets are lingering on a day
like today
i am thinking about what would have
been with you had you not taken the
comfort of your company away
i wonder what it would have been like
walking at this peaceful place with you
under the sun
the blue clouds accentuating our obvious
love and admiration that floats freely inspired
by natural fun
however all i have is my imagination and its
many settings in places that are well enlivened
with color
it leads me to sit in the center of a muddy puddle
in this blue raincoat feeling small when i could have
been feeling taller
