My Birthday Poem
I may be another year older,
But, I'm none the bloody wiser,
I'm still unsure, what I want to be,
I think I need a life advisor.
Maybe I'll become a poet,
Finding words that rhyme,
Or be a published author,
Now that would be sublime.
I could become a millionaire,
But, would that make me smile?
I could spend my days writing,
I'd have my chauffeur on speed dial.
To be honest I have what I want,
A loving family of which I'm proud,
I have marvellous friends ,
Who don't mind when I get loud.
So, I think I'll keep doing what I do,
I might have an epiphany one day,
Until that happens though,
I'll keep smiling along the way.
