My Biggest Fear
Walls of complicity have given way to complacency
Normality and expectancy, in a crowded room I still look for you
I look for your name on a familiar list
and my heart soars to know I can still reach out to you.
But one day, sadly, I know you will just be gone, vanished from existence like before.
You just won't be there anymore.
I won't be able to catch up with what you're up to
Won't be able to vicariously live through you.
You name won't register as anything more than a memory, like before,
Erased from existence forever more.
