My Best Friend Is a Buffalo
I wonder if you know,
My best friend is a buffalo,
We drink some beer and share a smoke,
I listen to his stories and he laughs at my jokes.
How we became friends I’ll never know,
After all, I am a man and he is a buffalo,
He’ll offer me a chew on his cud,
Or a cooling roll in the mud,
I’ll invite him over on his break,
To grill up some dogs but never a steak.
Who knows how far this friendship will go,
After all, I am a man and he is a buffalo.
He chews my roses and spits out the thorns,
I ride on his back and hold onto his horns,
We watch cowboy movies on the T.V.,
He’s being him and I’m being me.
This friendship will last forever I know,
After all, I am man and he is a buffalo.
