My Best Friend Calls Me Dad

He’s been in bed for half an hour Then I hear his feet coming down the hall He claims mommy said it’s ok, but I know She fell asleep some time ago When he climbs up in my chair I hate to think these days are ever gonna end As I wrap my arm around him with a smile, he says.. Daddy your my bestest friend I’m..so.. blessed and I’m so glad My best friend calls me dad I’m living out the very dream I never thought I’d have He’s living proof that life is good.... My best friend calls me dad First one question than another I love the fact that he confides in me What comes from the mouth of babes..is amazing And at times hard to believe If I could I wouldn’t ever Forget the sound of those little feet Coming down the hall, to sit with me, on the nights That he couldn’t fall asleep I’m.. so..blessed and I’m so glad My best friend calls me dad I’m living out the very dream I never thought I’d have He’s living proof that life is good... My best friend calls me dad My best friend calls me dad It’s the best job I’ve ever had It starts when I walk through the door And doesn’t end when I get back I take pride in the fact My best friend calls me dad I’m.. so..blessed and I’m so glad... that my.. Best friend calls me dad
