My Best Friend

My Best Friend

I’ve always considered myself lucky,
And I know that I am blessed.
Cause I feel such peace,
When I lay my head down to rest.

I wake in the morning,
To bright sunny skies.
Maybe once a storm or two,
But they quickly passed me by.

I have a strong belief in God,
And I live my life for him.
Since the day of my acceptance,
He took away my sin.

A feeling of peace came over me,
My burdens were rolled away.
He gently holds my hands,
To get me through the day.

He’s my God, my Lord, my Master,
My companion to the end.
He’s more than my Savior,
He’s my best friend.
