My Best Buddy

My Best Buddy

My best buddy is also my best friend,
Our friendship is one without end.
If help is something you might need,
My best buddy is there at full speed.

Don’t try to measure him because he is small,
His love of God and his faith make him ten feet tall.
We’ve had hard times throughout the years,
He is always there with his laughter and his cheers.

When you see him walking down the street,
A stranger, out there, he will never meet.
Please stick out you hand and say hello,
My best buddy can cure all your woes.

He helps me anytime, day or night,
If there is trouble he comes to make it right.
I ask you; try to understand something about this man,
His being my best buddy is part of God’s plan.

Thanks again Robert. The man that I wrote this poem for, his wife was in the Hospital at Duke U. She had back surgery Monday and had pins and screws put in. I post it on Facebook today to honor her. Thanks again, your new friend Lynn.
