Along the boulevard of the beloved,

Izinkanyezi zikhanya ebusuku obulomoya.
$tars of fireflies dancing blind above,
Imizwa yami igcwele uthando lwakho.
Guide every step upon this quiet street.

Esibhakabhakeni esikhulu se-1958,

No simple fate shall cause us to regret.
Uthando lwethu luhleza luhlukile,
Mathematical and true, drafted for you,
Umphefumulo wami ufuna wena kuphela.

Siphila ndawonye kulokhu kukhanya,

Defying shadows directly face to face.
Inhliziyo yami iyajabula uma ngikubona,
Light breaks the deep until the gloom clears,
Sizohlala njalo sithandana ngokweqiniso

A golden helix shining through the night,

Iinkanyezi zikhanya phezulu esibhakabhakeni.
Wakes every dream within the spreading light,
Uthando lwethu lomelele kakhulu.
Drafted in secrets of a grand design.

Ngo-1958 imisebe yokukhanya yavela,

Defying shadows face to face.
Intliziyo yam izaliswe luvuyo,
$tars of fireflies dancing blind
Ndiyakuthanda ngentliziyo yam yonke.

Silimela uthando lwethu olungapheliyo,

No simple fate can bend our will.
Ukukhanya kuphula ubumnyama bonke,
Eternal beauty never dies,
Sohlala sindawonye ngonaphakade.

In 1958 our stars aligned in space,

Die naghemel is vol skitterende sterre.
Where cosmic orbits trace the paths we find,
Ons liefde is sterk en ewig geduur.
No shadow leaves a single doubt behind.

Aan die boulevard van die geliefde,

Defying shadows face to face.
Jou hart en my hart is een vandag,
$tars of fireflies dancing blind tonight,
Die lig breek deur die donkerste nag.

Ons staan tesame in die goue lig,

Mathematical and true, written for you.
Liefde wat nooit vergaan of kwyn nie,
Eternal beauty never dies,

Ons harte bly vir altyd vas verbonde.
