My Beginning

Writing begins when paper meets pen
Dancing beginnings when one foot crosses the other
A family begins at the joining of lovers
My life began as a twinkle in GOD’s eye,
A flutter in HIS heart and the sound of HIS voice
HE spoke to the atmosphere to prepare the way for me
Called together two in love and spoke the words,
“I commission Thee”
I’ve created a jewel, a diamond in the ruff
Polish and admire it until it radiates with love.
I shall recompense thee for this task at hand
Blessings will befall thee at my command
Because you have loved that which I love so true
For raising this child of GOD,
I will bestow honor upon you
