My Beauty

My beauty was a pledge I took
Beauty hidden in plain face
In the small secured, kind place
Beauty beyond what was seen
What I had become from what I had been
From the impaired to the mended
Something that surpassed all the barriers
The kind of beauty that chooses its carriers
