My Bear
If you heard the stories my bear has heard,
If you knew how much they muffled my screams,
Maybe you would give me more patience,
As my heart is bursting out of its seams.
If you saw the tears my bear has soaked,
As they listen to my pain,
Maybe you would understand,
And free me from my chain.
If you felt the punches my bear felt,
As I lose the words to speak,
Maybe you would be by my side,
And not view me as weak.
