My Battle

Hopeless it feels, even though I’ve been down before
Could it be that my fate is to be cursed forevermore?
Trying my hardest to stay above the water, feeling lighter
Knowing that in the past the spots have been much tighter
Fighting just to live and not knowing how to survive
Wanting to know love and trying to just stay alive
Hoping and wishing on a star that this will be the true one
Praying for happiness and dreaming of having some fun
My battle daily is written all over my transparent face
Wondering If I am important or just taking up space
I will fight today and once again tomorrow
Once I win the battle I can then say goodbye to the sorrow
