My Bald Brother

My brother's bald
(as Bald as Sin)

I think he prob'ly likes that.

An ounce of whiskey
(or of gin)

...and then, he'll wear my OLD hat

To be like me, he thought, once, was a Sin
(and one he never WOULD... be caught dead, doing)
He spurned my music, hung a rebel flag...
and everything I did, he scorned pursuing

And now, I count him wise above all others.
I don't agree politically, and won't
...but he has found a center in his kindness
Believes in God? "Sometimes... and then, I don't..."

But when the battle flies and bullets come
I'll stand in front of him and take their hits
(Hope I won't have to, I'm not really dumb)
For he has children, wife, mom, and good wits.

...and all the World were less without my brother
...for better men, or wiser, there's no other
