My awful Journey
This journey wasn’t meant to be easy,
I wasn’t handed a map—
Just a trail of scars,
A road that twisted through grief and rage.
Fatherless from the start,
A boy who learned to walk alone,
Who learned that love can come with emptiness,
That silence can scream louder than words.
Then came the loss of her—
The one who taught me to fight,
The one who held me when the world didn’t care,
The one who gave me everything
Only to be taken too soon.
I’ve walked through nightmares,
Felt the sting of cold nights,
The pain of watching others have what I never did—
The steady hand, the guiding voice.
I was just a boy,
But life pushed me to be a man too soon.
Each step I took felt heavy,
Like I was carrying the weight of a thousand suns.
Each breath felt like a struggle,
As if the world itself didn’t want me to survive.
But I kept going.
The awful journey wasn’t kind,
It didn’t promise me peace,
It didn’t promise me love,
But it gave me strength.
I found courage in the cracks,
In the spaces where my heart shattered,
In the places no one saw.
I learned to make my own way,
To fight with words,
To scream with poems,
To bleed ink on pages,
And in that pain, I found my truth.
I’ve been through hell and back,
But I am still standing.
This awful journey made me who I am—
A survivor,
A poet,
A fighter,
Someone who knows the worst
But refuses to let it break him.
My journey has been awful,
But it’s mine.
And I will carry it until the end.
