My Angels
She’s Susan’s younger sister
Karen is her name.
Although I don’t see her much
I love them both the same.
Karen is an Army wife
That’s why she’s not around.
She’s stationed many miles away
In a U.S. Army compound.
She’s the mother of four grandkids
And I sure love all four.
I wish they lived much closer
So I could enjoy them more.
Karen has a handicap
A physical one - in fact
But I won’t go into it
Cause it doesn’t hold her back!
I know if she lived close by
There’s no doubt in my mind
That if I really needed her
She would not be hard to find.
However - distance won’t allow
And that’s the way I see it.
Physically Karen can’t be there
But she’ll be there in spirit!
Both girls are angels in my eyes
On that I will stand firm.
But there is just one difference
And that I will affirm.
The difference is that Sue’s nearby
And Karen’s far away.
But I love them both with all my heart
That all that I can say!
