My Angel of Life

Not so many years ago, as I lay curled in my sheets
Drifting to that pleasant place, when you are really not asleep
I felt a movement in my bed as if a presence did creep
Wondering what it was, but awake I could not reach
Then this presence held me up, and in their arms, wrapped me so complete.
Remembering that feeling and how it felt so sweet.
The next thing I remember is another presence there
Squeezing tight upon my chest and taking me somewhere.
I couldn’t breath, I couldn’t scream, I couldn’t even fight
The pain wrenching through my body causing him delight.
And then the fight was over and as the dark presence left
I felt my angel release me, touching softly on my head
Leaning over to whisper, everything will be alright.
The angel of life saved me on that oh so scary night.

Wow, this is very powerful, Janet. I do believe in guardian angels, and I was saved by one once when I was young (another story) but I'm grateful you were saved by this intervention. Praise God!

Sleep paralysis...along withe near death and out of body experiences are often the result of psychic revelation and or warfare for your soul Janet. Your Angel bestowed two gifts unto you, one of protection, and the other of enlightenment. I admire your experience, you have something the Angel wants as well:) J.A.B.

What an amazing experience, Janet! So, I would say you are living your second life! I believe in angels, even guardian angels; I am sure they have held my hand many times when I've been in danger! Thanks for sharing. // paul

Thanks for stopping in Daisy. This poem is about a blood clot that went through my heart one night. I was visited by an angel that night, I felt their presence, they were protecting me. It is an experience I will never forget.
