My Angel

A few years ago, I met this man.
We bumped into eachother walking.
I'm sorry maam, I tripped.
This is so very embarrassing.

I looked at him, with a grin.
My face turned red, from blushing.
He asked me to lunch, from that day on we were seriously dating.

One evening my phone rang,
It was him crying in pain.
He was in a bad wreck.
He wasn't going to make it.
I'll never forget his last words to me.
I'll always be beside you to protect, watch over as you sleep in peace.
