My Angel

Afraid and deceived,

... I ran away

Illusion and delusion, I’d obey.

Before I believed,

I would yet pray

To not be lost in this world one day.

My soul aggrieved.

The truth did weigh

Seeking audience above the fray.

An angel conceived,

To show the way

God found me in your smile that day.
