My Angel

My Angel

He whispers his love softly to me,
His voice sweet as a summer breeze,
And I can't imagine being anywhere
But here, wrapped in his arms.

I think I dreamed him into life,
He's everything I could ever want,
He makes the Darkness shine,
The rain a comfort to silky skin.

When his eyes meet mine,
I know I could never love anymore
Than I do, he catches the tears
And dries them soon as they fall.

I'm happiest with my Love,
Never known anything so true,
And when my doubts arrive
He softly pushes back my fears.

My angel I'd fly beside
Forever and a day if I could,
He lifts me up on gold wings
And leads me home again.
