My Angel

All my tomorrows will come and go
And pass just like a storm
But all this pain I feel inside my heart
Still lingers on

I would have loved you always
Held you for a million years
Instead my arms are empty
And my world is full of tears

Since you’ve gone I’m just a shadow
Of someone I used to be
There’s nothing I wouldn’t do in this world
To bring you back to me

Sometimes I wake up crying at night
Sometimes I scream out your name
What right did He have to take you from me
God, why did you take him away

I'm on a road to nowhere
And I just can't find my way
I feel so lost without you
Scared to face each waking day

Nights I lay awake just staring
Through my bloodshot eyes
Surrounded by these walls that tell
The stories of our lives

The sound of your sweet loving voice
The feel of you so close
The love I felt inside your heart
Is what I miss the most

I'll find you where the Angels shine
Beyond the pain...beyond all time
Until that day I'll hold on to
A heart still belongs to you

I know someday I'll see you again
At the gates of Heaven above
And there I will find you waiting for me
My Angel, my heart, my love.

Hi Raina. This is a touchingly beautiful piece. Usually I'm unstopable with comments, but this I feel, deserves a quietness and respect. Very Nice, Raina! God bless you and yours, best to you!...Mikki
