My Amphetamine
Poetry's my amphetamine,
My brain's everyday vitamin,
It is a cure for my boredom,
My heart's expression of freedom,
My placebo for the day,
It keeps all my fears at bay,
The prescription for my disease,
It keeps my soul and mind at ease,
My drug, my pill, my medicine,
Poetry's my amphetamine.
