Mutate

The savage wind whips the giant stone peeling it layer after layer until it becomes
A shinning pebble. The stone is my shield. It protects me from the blinding light and
The curse of the solar winds.... I am a mutate without appendage. I wiggle I squirm;
I am a worm afraid of the moles.

thank you for welcoming me to poetry soup! I've been in the closet for many years with my poetry. But I now have a 300 page book in a few places; and I've read my poetry at public gatherings, with good reviews; it's never too late; it's great to be out of the closet! Lawrence
