Musing Itch

My sky of dreams craves goes wacky
reflects on the mirror cloudy
glistened facet of calm azure,
the tinted clouds scrape to allure.

The height of blank hope I can’t reach,
morphed urge of perennial itch
longs for the touch of cool rainbow,
stroking edge of mind starts the show.

Desert sands in scorching summer,
parched mirage of desire simmers,
obsession flares feral fire which
gets doused when the rains rill the itch.

On garden path of memory
autumn leaves weave gold tapestry,
motif the nostalgic winds stitch,
fervor enfolds unsated itch.

On my back rides the musing itch,
the pen can’t scratch for it can’t reach.
