Music Fills the Air
At any time that rain comes pouring down
and thunderbolts invade the rumbling sky
I think of Bittner, Hoffman, Brahms or Strauss.
Their music comes to mind to satisfy
the strong emotions where my soul could drown.
Then when the storm recedes, losing its flair,
dark clouds disperse and sunshine flirts with blue.
Liszt, Grieg, Beethoven intense passion rouse,
combine to bid the vanquished foe adieu:
quiescence reigns as music fills the air.
