Music and Movement

MUSIC AND MOVEMENT

We have music and movement every week
And pretend to be different things.
Fish in the sea,
Birds in a tree,
Or buzzing around
Like a bumble bee,
Until the music stops!

Sometimes we have to be leaves in the wind,
Fluttering down from a tree.
I swirl round and round
‘Til I land on the ground,
Where I lie very still
And don’t make a sound,
Until the music stops!

Last week we had to be little brown mice
As timid, as timid could be.
So I twitched with my nose
Like a little mouse goes,
I ran very fast on my
Fingers and toes,
Until the music stops!

Today when the music started to play
I pretended that I was a flower.
So I stretched to the sky
With my arms up high,
And swayed in the breeze
As it passed me by,
And then the music stopped!
