Music
Waves of vibration turn to sound
Guitars are strummed; Drums are pound
Notes turn to measures; measures turn to song
Creating music for all to sing along
Music is life’s purest pleasure
Having the power to bring people together
Helping people through struggles; helping others relate
Enhancing our brain’s chemistry; our mental state
Giving us motivation when times are tough
The lyrics pierce through the silence; the voice’s gruff
Helping us to let go, unwind, and relax
To kick back and take the weight off our backs
Taking us back to another place in time
Retracing memories deep within our mind
Music embodies an essence of life
Can give healing to wounds or cut like a knife
Giving us an outlet, freedom of expression
Having many meanings in its own complexion
Music is simple, yet so advanced
Vibrations captivate; leaving masses entranced
Music has a special place in our heart
It will always be there and never shall part
It means a lot in my heart, as it does in yours
Something we all have in common; that the world adores
So, maybe music is more than vibration
More than a source of our own inspiration
More than a feeling, more than just sound
Music is a gift that will always be around
