Mundane Things Of Life

Life is so often very ordinary
with things to do, so that's mundane
but they just must be done
without them life wouldn't be the same

Shopping has to be done weekly
for them we couldn't eat
some food we like, others not
our tastes vary just like our feet

Sometimes we've got responsibilities
to support loved ones at home
they need medicine or special drinks
or even just to recite a poem

Our vehicles need to be checked upon
so we can drive them every day
fill up with fuel for a journey
keep them clean and tidy on the way

There's so much to be done
we need to be healthy and so fit
then these mundane things of life
are done and so we don't quit
