Mummy

Mummy 'Mummy' such a simple word, I used to hear it often. 'Mummy' a mellifluous sound which causes hearts to soften. 'Mummy, can I have a cat or guinea pig instead?' 'Mummy, can you read to me then tuck me up in bed?' 'Mummy' ; such a heartfelt word but now the time has come To recognise the passing years for now I'm 'good old Mum!'

I know, Lyric Man. Just a nostalgic moment hearing the word again yesterday! Just for the record, my Mum was without a tash!!

Yes a simple word in a simple poem, that has the power of love. Nothing is stronger than that, Wendy. This poem will touch many in different but wondrous ways, Love it..

That's so kind of you, Harry. It was prompted by hearing the word in the supermarket yesterday and like many female heads, mine turned round instinctively!
